Every year Redken scouts for the best talent in the industry to encourage today’s budding stylists to become tomorrow’s industry mentors. Redken Young Tribe Initiative is an internationally recognized two-year development program focused on developing design, styling and color skills. An opportunity for all stylists to gain knowledge through special training activities, exciting events and mentoring from Redken Guest Artists and icons.
Mentoring and development by leading local and international Redken Artists. Building confidence in presenting and demonstrating to others. Developing your leadership communication and organizational skills. Insights into the latest trends while networking with like-minded team members. Technical education to enhance your hairdressing skills. Involvement in a variety of events, workshops, onstage and behind the scenes.

In 2020 Redken demonstrates its commitment to education by introducing for the 1st time, The Redken Scholarship Program. This initiative is awarded to an apprentice hairdresser in the industry that Redken believes is striving for excellence in their craft. Already attending and seeking further development through education, these lucky few will be granted a personalized design program that Redken will fund for 12 months. This incentive is valued at $2500 per scholarship.
IN 2020 REDKEN DEMONSTRATES ITS COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION BY INTRODUCING FOR THE FIRST TIME THE REDKEN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.
UTILISING THE POWER OF EDUCATION TO INSPIRE
THIS INITIATIVE WILL BE AWARDED TO AN APPRENTICE HAIRDRESSER IN THE INDUSTRY THAT REDKEN BELIEVES IS THRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE IN THE CRAFT.
AN APPRENTICE THAT MAY HAVE ALREADY ATTENDED OR IS SEEKING FURTHER DEVELOPMENT THROUGH EDUCATION, THESE FINAL FIVE WILL BE GRANTED A PERSONALIZED DESIGN PROGRAM THAT REDKEN WILL FUND FOR 12 MONTHS.
THIS INCENTIVE IS VALUED AT $2500 PER SCHOLARSHIP.
The key to this scholarship program is that we will tailor the education pathway and journey to the needs and objectives of each individual recipients
Empower A salon team member who is engaged with Redken and is passionate about the brand, education and being the best hairdresser they can be.
To be a part REDKEN SCHOLORSHIP PROGRAM the employer must agree to allow candidate to:
Participate and attend all planned education
The salon needs to be a full stockiest of key color, hair care and styling range
There will be targets set after attending assigned programs to keep the motivation and productivity in salon. Thus showing a distinct correlation between education and salon outcomes.

Passionate about the brand
Understands the brand philosophy
Is committed to achieve Redken scholarship KPI’s
Currently working in a Redken full stockist salon
There will be KPI’s and touch points throughout the year with each scholarship recipient that need to be achieved
There will be mini exams done throughout the year to cement learnings from classes that have been attended
